Paloma Valencia
Paloma Valencia was born in Medellín, Colombia, where her passion for film led her to study communications and audio visual languages. She focused in script writing at the University of Medellín where her thesis, the short “CAMINO A VICTORIA”, was selected in several national festivals including the new creators selection at the FICCI International Festival of Cartagena 2015. In 2017 she decided to specialize in actor direction at The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York.
Currently, she’s a music video, commercial, and film director. In 2018 she premiered her short “VIENTOS DE AGOSTO”, which made rounds through international festivals (Official Selection Festival de cine latinoamericano de Rosario – Argentina, Official Selection 9º Oaxaca filmfest- Mexico, Official Selection 16º Bogoshorts Film Festival and Official Selection Canada Shorts 2018.)
